This 1st half of this hike is more or less level and the old woods roads are easy to navigate. Once you pass the power lines and houses the trails become very well maintained gravel carriage roads that are used by bikers and horseback riders. The rangers even ride around in little 4 wheelers picking up after the horses! Very civilized! The only viewpoint on this trail is the North Lookout gazebo.
