Trail Maintenance Workshop

Registration is closed for this event
Whether you're an experienced maintainer or new on the trails, join us in ensuring that the trails stay clear and passable for the enjoyment of all trail lovers!

Trail Maintenance is clearing, cleaning, and blazing.  Trail maintainers use small hand tools to clip and cut brush out of the trail, remove debris from drainage structures, and paint or hang the markers used for route finding also known as blazes.

Join our Schunnemunk, Long Path, Highlands Trail volunteers on the pink puddingstone of Schunnemunk Mountain to learn what trail maintenance is all about, to give back to some of its most beloved trails and adopt a trail segment of your very own!

Bring  work gloves, wear sturdy closed shoes, bring a bag lunch and PLENTY of water. If you have loppers, hand shears or pruners, please bring them with you. Otherwise let us know you're coming so that we can organize sufficient tools ahead of time as well as give you a heads-up about inclement weather delays. We will also be carpooling between the starting and endpoints, so..

Please register below.
